WSSU Men Picked To Finish Second In CIAA's Southern Division
Winston-Salem State has been one of the most consistent programs in the CIAA over the last couple of years, and if the CIAA's preseason predictions come true, that should continue in 2014-15. WSSU was predicted to finish second in the CIAA's Southern Division, behind defending CIAA Champions Livingstone.
WSSU will be a mix of new and old. It starts with first-year head coach James Wilhelmi, who takes over for Bobby Collins. Wilhelmi is a first-time head coach, but he's not new to Winston as he was on Collins' staff for the past couple of seasons.
The Rams bring back preseason All-CIAA performers WyKevin Bazemore and Marquez Jones, as well as veteran guards Javan Wells and Kerry Campbell.
