Size was an issue for Winston-Salem State last basketball season. Anyone who watched WSSU get dominated down low in the CIAA Championship Game against Livingstone last month could tell you that.
Looking to bulk up inside, WSSU has made a move to shore up that weakness. Rob Brown, a 6'8 big man from Raleigh's Millbrook High, committed to WSSU on Tuesday.

Statistically, @AgentCinco_5 goes down as one of the greatest players in our programs history! pic.twitter.com/t9OPuIPgRxAs you can see, Brown was pretty accomplished on the high school level, earning two-star status from ESPN. That doesn't always translate well in college, but the CIAA doesn't have many Charles Oakleys or Rick Mahorns running around any more.

If Brown can adjust to the college level quickly, the next few years for WSSU could be pretty bright as guard Terrell Leach looks ready to become a star after going for 23 points in the CIAA Championship Game.
